A Story about Me
I come from a line of strong women who used their hands, hearts, and genius to create beautiful spaces — in the house and outside it. We had quilts, hooks, hoops, gardens. These women cared for others: the families they were born into and the families they made. They fed us and consoled us, and we became strong, too.
I've been mark-making since childhood. I had a crochet hook and a tapestry needle not long after I had crayons. I embroidered a dress for my doll, sewed a collar for my little dog, stitched countless strawberries and flowers from iron-on patterns my mother bought at the dime store. Those patterns were my second-favorite thing to get there — just after warm salted cashews.
The world is so much more now. Extra. Extra more.
I designed the Covencore Collection as a reminder to recenter, to re-see, to touch grass and touch home. But also as a reminder that breaking open is how we grow. That tenderness doesn't require surrender. That we can be soft where we choose and sharp where we need to be.
I hand-stitch each design before approving it for production. These patches are my attempt to hold something beautiful — and honest — in a world that often feels too fast, too loud, too much.
I hope you love them as much as I do.
All the best,
Loulou
